The Divinity—Kunal Roy

The late winter,

The frozen delight,

O! The Goddess,

The Divine Spouse of Brahma

Once more on the mortal globe!

Scattering the delight -

The lips curl up in a gentle smile,

The Vina belts out -

a mellifluous tune,

The book unfolds the pearls of wisdom,

The urchins celebrate,

make offerings

to seek your blessings!

The white swan,

The flight of fantasy,

The white lotus

You sit and engage-

Purity and Purity

transcend the vicissitudes of time!

Spreading the grace far and wide

You are the mother of the universe!

Yet the ages passed,

Your importance has ceased,

You are no more the priority,

Little we realise -

The greatest wealth is hidden in you!

Not raging wars,

Not fleeting with moments,

Not exhaustible,

Not inauspicious,

Not sought at ease!!
