The 15th Death Anniversary!—Kunal Roy

There goes a saying " Parents always know the best". My parents were not an exception in this regard. Though both of them passed away long ago, my reverence for them has not diluted in any manner!

It is 8th January again. The 15th Death Anniversary of my father. The figure who taught me some of the best codes of life. Without his support, I would not have been successful today. It is true that he had not left a huge legacy behind him, but he created my foundation which makes me earn square meals a day!

My father was fond of the Western Education. He loved the language and his interest in poetry especially Shelley, Keats, Byron and Frost deserves a special mention here.

But every personality has a pessimistic angle too. He blinded believed everyone. And this was something which took a heavy toll upon him! He was even inflicted upon gross injustice and sufferings by his younger brothers, their wives and sisters. The pioneers who didn't have any such quality except to encourage in a vicious ambience. Quality matters in the long run, seldom realised by such malicious fellows for whom education was always a secondary factor! People often opine that I have genetically heritage his memory prowess, his outstanding skill of fluency and the vibrant expression of his vocal sinews!

He is no more, may be in some other part of the world. His sweet, sour and bitter memories are with me. And I want him back as my father in this life. I have asked several reputed astrologers on it, but no one was able to satisfy my query. They opined it is not literally possible, but miracles do happen, I believe. After all, not a lost figure, spirit is stronger than any physical entity!!
